Remaking a garden bench.

I wish Frederickus.
Hope you get better soon …

Seems strange but at the moment I have never felt so fit and well . Despite a few health problems ..
Every body keeps telling me this last few days it’s a bit of respite before a storm.

I was also told by family not to worry to much about the covid injection if I did not want it. But anyway had it today with the flu jab.

I don’t feel like I have wasted my time .
Anyway got a bit more to do to the Moho like respraying the bumpers and side skirts.
Then I have a few trips planned .

The Family seem to be a little downbeat at the moment .

You could try a reclamation yard for suitable wood, should be a bit cheaper than a wood yard.

We used slate lats that a neighbour had left over after a roof project.
Fitted the stainless steel straps as in the photos in this thread, but that leaves it a bit rocky (the braces had rusted, because they were steel, not aluminium).
My plan is to add another strap diagonally up the back of each bench to give lateral stiffness.

We bought these bench ends about 15 years ago at a steam fair auction and it's time to build it up again.

I think it needs to be 4-5 feet long, but not sure what to use for the slats, it looks like it has had slaters lathe previously not the best I think so suggestions from anyone has a s similar bench as to word and sizes as these don't look correct, I'll need a length of rod to stabilise the bottom too but that the easy part.
