Thanks, but the problem is they’ve just joined me on holiday here in France! Maybe they are ‘Migrant Ants’ and somebody’s told them I’m from Scotland and they think the ‘Auld Alliance’ is still valid!Could try taking them on holiday they might leave if its a nicer place to stay
Failing that try ant killer powder plenty to choose from .
Good luck

No chance. Will have to learn the French for ‘Ant Powder’. Uncle Google might know.
I had the same problem in France and Spain last summer and I bought ant killer in supermarkets. The best was like a little round pot that you just leave on the floor. Thanks, but the problem is they’ve just joined me on holiday here in France! A few years ago in Italy we got a van full of ants and spotted more recruits arriving so put ant powder round their entrance. We were still left with the problem of getting rid of those inside, took months. The Dutch couple pitched next to us had more sense they bought a jar of jam stuck it under the van smeared a bit around the ant entrance and out they marched, lesson learned.
Thanks for the tip, must try that but will have to do it on the van floor because I have no idea where they got in. Anyway they’re here, I’ve tried a couple of ant pots and there are still stragglers showing up. I’ll try a jammy lid on the floor now so will see what happens. Might become a spectator sport! ?
