We have a 2008 Boxer Autosleeper Symbol van and use it year round on EHU and non-EHU sites equally.
Our normal power usage is:
TV and Diesel heater in colder/darker months
Two showers each morning - Shurflo pump
3 way fridge
LED lights throughout
No inverter, or other hi load 12v items.

Have a Victron smart charger and B2B charger between LB and VB

Existing Yuasa 5019 YBX batteries are of unknown history prior to me buying van last June and without victron charger drop to 12.4 VB and 12.1 LB in a couple of weeks so I want to change them but what to?

I think I will replace the VB with another Yuasa 5019 YBX

But I really want an AGM or EFB LB for those off grid nights

What do you recommend?

I'm currently looking at:

Yuasa L36 AGM 95Ah at £180
Yuasa L36 EFB 100Ah at £130
Leoch Adventurer AGM 130 Ah at £185
Leoch Adventurer AGM 160 Ah at £295 !!!
Leoch LAGM 110LL. 120Ah at £168

But there are others like Exide and Numax...

Is there any issue connecting a 160 Ah LB to a 100 Ah VB via the B2B?

Advice please, much appreciated
K 😉

If you can fit a 160AH Battery (have you checked the height requirement?), then I wouldgo for the Expedition Lead Carbon battery - https://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/1...rbon-gel-ultra-deep-cycle-battery-exp12-160c/ - for £245.
There is a 110AH version for £190 which is pretty much the same footprint but a lower height than the 160AH version - https://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/1...ad-carbon-ultra-deep-cycle-battery-dc12-100c/ (this is a gel battery like the160Ah. ignore that the link says 'agm')

The Lead Carbon type of Lead Acid Batteries are the best type and longest lasting option.

I've had a pair of those 110ah lead carbons for a couple of years now, they have been excellent. I don't know of any other lead acid battery that comes anywhere near the 1500 cycles quoted
