Sat nav advice

I use the normal CoPilot for my car and motorbike. Does the caravan version allow vehicle dimension input and use it intelligently? On the car version you can select type of vehicle which does include a motorhome but it doesn't seem to care about road widths, just avoids very tight turns.
Yes it does. It's pprogrammable for all ddimensions. Thanks

And it doesn't send you through narrow, tight roads!
Copilot for caravans is our go to sat nav. Be warned, just the same as any other sat nav device, it can be unreliable and it’s sensible routing depends on your use of options and controls. Pretty accurate in most EU countries so far, except Greece - tried to send us down a number of very narrow impossible dirt tracks!

Use the 3 options for toll roads, look for common sense changes against a map and use the edit button to change the route.
Price wise it is an absolute win against other dedicated sat navs, if you have a tablet with GPS.

I have recently bought the Tom Tom Go Camper. Only a 6 inch screen but seems plenty big enough. This model is pricey but it comes with free map updates for the life of the device. I haven't used it much so far but it hasn't tried to take me down a narrow lane or under a low bridge yet. I found it easy to install the WC POIs on it. As well as lifetime maps it has Tom Tom traffic free for its lifetime and updates itself via wifi!

Sat nav advice

Thinking of upgrading my sat nav to avoid being sent down narrow roads again ,looking at 7 inch motorhome ,caravan type maybe with dash cam .aguri RV or avtex, any buying advice recommendations .sorry text error
We've been using Garmin Camper 760 for two or three years now. Really cannot fault it at all. Free lifetime map upgrades make up for the initial cost.

Garmin Camper 760 LMT-D and a Transcend DrivePro 220 with an upgraded 64GB SDHC card giving 8 hours recording before it over-writes.

Both work very well and have done for over 3 yeras now.

Sorry for the delay replying (don't always get emails to say someone has responded)

I can put a multiple profiles into Copilot and up to now it hasn't sent me anywhere dodgy.

I have also set the Road Preferences to favour primary roads and strongly favour duel carriageways and motorways with secondary roads and local streets set at neutral, so that might be helping too.

Before I had Copilot I used Google maps and that "seemed to deliberately send us down narrow one track lanes?

Nozatech for us too , does what it says on the tin and simple to use , well it must be cause I haven’t been lost yet .

Nozatech 7" truck version. Been using for years. cheap, echo all other thoughts above re updates, facebook user group etc. Why pay more. They all have useless batteries, you can replace if really necessary, but 99% of time plugged in to van, why bother? Put the other 300 quid you would have spent into the beer fund !

Thanks for replays bought an aguri rv 720 missed out used one should have pm me . the aguri is a 7 inch android tablet with dash cam with motor home caravan features and poi .free updates for European maps and safety camera . very different from my old Garmin .so quite a learning curve .

Same as mine Barry, I haven't found out what it all does yet as have just used it as a Sat Nav, I really should fix the mounting properly so it can be used as a dash cam as well but keep meaning to try it in different places first to see which if best. Typical me though I just lean it against the windscreen next to reversing camera screen
