Slide Clunk Slide Clunk

Whoosh bangs.
Been with a group of Motorhomer members this weekend and didn't hear any noise though some panel conversions were there. Last night one turned up, not one of ours, and guess what......this morning whoosh bang,
Difficult to do it quietly . I , unless its impossible , never park next to anyone . Not even these full size buses (often with trailers!) which take up about 4 spaces !
So if my door causes you a problem , don't park so close .

If room is in short supply I can understand parking close to next van but what I don’t understand is , I have just returned from my favorite site which has loads of parking
Only to see nine vans in one spot almost touching each other and a further six in a different part all within a few feet of each other whilst there was plenty of room all over the site to get privacy. O.k. Perhaps I am antisocial but I don’t want to park that close to anyone!.

One of the great motorhoming mysteries . Used to think it was down to nationality i.e. French .
But , like most racial stereotyping , that turned out to be a load of Horlicks

The 'herd' instinct maybe? :)

Personally, I don't mind parking up close at a pre-arranged meet where I'm there especially for the purposes of socialising.

Otherwise, unless I'm travelling around and parking up with other vanners/motorhomers I actually know, I like my peace, quiet and privacy and prefer to be parked as far away as possible from other hoomans.

That's why I will always prefer wildcamping :devilish: 👹

I think that they are just frightened to be on their own in case some psycho comes along. But they could find that they have actually camped next to one!
We were completely by ourselves on a large free camp area in Australia in our 4x4 with slide-on camper. A group of European back-packers turned up in a car one night and pitched their tents right next to us so close that a guyrope was actually touching our step! We found it really quite amusing and could only think their reason was safety..... but their youthful flesh barbequed well like suckling pigs! 😱

Wagon train yo ho whip lash away, big circle when the dindeans come, told you i was a dyslexic cowboy.

What gets me is when we are tucked away in some wild site with no-one else there overnight then at around 6.30am a vehicle arrives and parks right next to us... fair enough, but then appears or sounds like it has 25 doors and 10 hatches until they finally bu99er off. Im amazed sometimes to later see just a small car and just two returning occupants and a wee dog.
K😐
