We are now back at Vila real de San Antonio, with Greengrass, managed to get a very rare spot overlooking the estuary, 26 degrees today and even warmer tomorrow

we left spain last night got 50mls below Salamanca at sancti spiritus so today we made palencia for lunch time filled up with fuel i went to a site i know ballenoil it was €1:229 but down in the town there were several stations at €1:239 the map with the bull ring the vets is at the bottom and plenergy at the top , we waited till 2:30 to go to the kiron vets near the bullring because our crossing is in the morning in the event the receptionist said what day do you want me to put lol , she then charged me the princely sum of €7 , we’re now at the aire by the reservoir just past vitoria gastiez 1 hour to bilboa 1:15mins to the french border as you can see weather much better up there

We stayed at Palencia in mid-March on the free Aire across the Old Bridge that is also the Free Car Park. Weather was lousy, but the town was very pleasant. After Palencia, it was on to Lierganes for the last couple of days before the very short hop up the road to Santander. Took the train from Lierganes to Santander and spent a pleasant afternoon wandering around the City. Happy days ...

if not for the vet and the dash home we prefer the town of ampudia about 10km from palencia free aire between the bullring & the castle which was used as el cod’s family home in the film , the town itself looks as though clint eastwood is going to come round the next corner lil
