Snowbirds 2025

Have you been inside The Bone Chapel..
Evidently a plague killed about 5000 folk.
Their bones decorate the walls and ceilings of the church.
They show bus loads of school kids around.
The signage says " Our bones await your bones, to join us here."
Unfortunately it was Easter Monday Paul, so it was closed, but we did get a walk around the town, it was like a maze, but very nice 👍

I’ve stumbled on a pretty good Aire. Nice village, great walks around landscaped lakes.
Nieuil L’Espoir. About midway between Fleure and Poitiers on the 147.

Talking about France. I’ve been watching the late great Robin Williams on YT.
As he says, the French hate the English, omg the Germans are coming.
‘Ellow Anglise 😬

Another nice Aire.
Armage. Right on the River Sarthe. Only three bays, with a little bit of elbow room. Unless you’re under 1.9 metres, then there is plenty.

Hiya, well after a few false starts since Sept 2023 (usual health issues with Joanne) we finally left UK on 14th April arriving in Calais late at night.
Since then we have bimbled down stopping at places including Langres, Vallon Pont D'Arc currently at Marselain beach since Monday.
We have had a rear wheel blow out, the Fiat Confortmatic gearbox issues that resets when it feels like it, max 2 or 3rd gear...stop, pump the throttle try again and off we go again! It's bizarre and we will keep traveling south to Peniscola, hopefully have a few weeks there. 🤞🤞
Gd Candy has been a superstar and always searching for cuddles and laughs from complete strangers 😁 just like Joanne 😉
I think once we get back to UK a visit to AB in Portsmouth for diagnostics will be required 🤷🏻‍♂️😁20250503_102100.jpg20250430_201638.jpg20250429_093146.jpg

And whoosh 77 days in Europe is over, we've clocked 3500 miles. The gearbox issue was sorted in Fiat Garage near to Peniscola, ended up having to buy 2 rear tyres as the lovely French garage wouldn't fit just 1 tyre. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂😂
Currently in Gravesend to go see osteopath to click my back in again. 🤞🤞🤞
We're hoping to get home Wednesday and clean van ready for the Rally coming up at Burton Bradstock. 👍👍👍😁

We were in the tunnel the same day funnily enough, our departure was 10:46.

We did 90 days from uk to the Canaries, alot of miles so I can totally relate, would go straight back tomorrow if we could haha

Glad you got back safely

Did you take your moho to the Canaries? How did you get on with places to park overnight?

Hi yes we did, its brilliant over there, the Policia and Guardia Civil don't care less how long you stay in a spot as long as your not a nuisance or don't leave a mess, there's some fantastic places on the beach in La Santa Sport for example in Lanzarote where you have almost a whole island to yourself.

Gran canaria is a bit harder to park but fuerteventura has some good places too.

Ferry hopping is easy and we do ther journey there from the uk in 4 days including ferry so not too bad at all

I've documented some of it on our yt channel Andy & Mandy Travels if you want to see the ferry trip and journey, its not the most exciting watch but if your thinking of doing the trip then may be of interest
