Snowbirds 2025

Hi all,

Just booked ferry from Plymouth to Santander for next month for about 5 weeks.

We are thinking of heading along the north coast of Spain then heading south into
Portugal. We have been along the Algarve, so will not be going that far.

Any information or ideas where to go and stop would be most appreciative , and
thank you in advance. Ted

We are in Benidorm still and it's been overcast here since Saturday and gusty wind, but not seen much in the way of rain, just the odd shower and no rain at all today.
To be fair. We’ve had rain, either heavy or only showers everyday this week. But we are well above Benidorm, in the hills around Callosa d’Sarria

Still trying unsuccessfully to outrun the rain, had a dryish afternoon at Costa Nova and were able to have a good walk round the striped houses and sample a few beers.

Woke to more rain headed north arriving at Pontevedra in time for lunch and an afternoon of sightseeing, staying here for a couple of nights today is going to be mostly dry 👍

Getting solar at last. . 25 amps from 700 solar
Now by my reckoning, that’s about 25amps more than I’ve had for the last few days. Happy (ish)) bunny

Peniche, in the Oeste region of Portugal. Nice little free grassy motorhome area by the river in the middle of the old city (P4N).
Loved it here for a couple of nights. A surprising and interesting old city and port to meander. A wonderful hotchpotch of old and new. Quite a bit of lovely sunshine. 😜
Moved on today (Friday) to Nazaré.

Happy memories of when we did the west coast of portugal

Arrived today at Nazaré beach. FREE Park up for motorhomes (P4N). Very short walk down to the beach.

We hope to see some of the area's giant waves tomorrow, but today just meandered along the charming promenade in the sunshine, frolicked on the beautiful beach with Smuj and had a few bevvies. The wind was strong, so we have been sand blasted/exfoliated.

Our bar experience turned suddenly crazy when torrential rain, very strong winds and loud thunder hit 😱😭. Race back to Fijit .... all very funny and exhilarating, but "drowned rats" comes to mind 🤣.

We're all good, and looking forward to catching the waves tomorrow - come rain or shine 😀 .

💚 HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND HAPPY CAMPERS 💚
