Well done on the jabs Peter. I didn’t get to Brazenose Street until the late ‘60s by which time it was all northern soul. So I missed the early blues:jazz years. I did catch John Mayall at the Free Trade in 69’ish .....,

We have, or rather had until he moved to France, a friend who went by the name of Victor Brox who together with his wife Annette were very much part of our local blues scene on Friday nights at the Surrey Arms. He was a teacher at one of out local schools and often left his old Wurlitzer piano at our house. I played bass with him on many occasions back in the late 70s early 80s.
Anyway back to reality
