I spent far too long working for this bunch of wallies. Never could work out how they made a profit.
My happiest day there, was when my license came back from the DVLA without a class 1 entitlement. Since then, work has become just another 4 letter word.

I always thought scotch was just a drink, my Thurso born stepmother always told me it’s Scot or Scottish lol

Scotch is Whisky..or Mist or eggs
Scottish is people.
I am sure residents will educate us further...

I think I accidently stumbled upon the answer in my question...
Something can be Scotch... potatoes, whisky, mist, etc
Somebody is always Scottish
Hence the scowl when you call someone Scotch...

And something that refers to or belong to or affects the Scottish people en masse, e.g. Law usually takes the form 'Scots', so Scots Law
