I am busy trying to find things to come off it to make it lighter by 500kilos

What type/build/make of van are you running, I only ask as lopping off 500kgs. is a thumping amount of weight!

On my self built Renault Master LWB H2 L3 van, from the very outset of my design right through to the build I went for a lightweight construction and ended up with a van that was still very luxurious but also had a very significant 750kgs of spare capacity still free when we went to the weigh bridge with all the tanks full, fully loaded for a 6 week holiday, my most beloved, myself and 3 x Spaniels all on board.
I did this so that we were never restricted by weight when we were bringing back our exceptionally large loads of wine boxes on each French trip, not that we drink a lot!!;)

Time to put in a partial bulkhead at the side door, and incorporate new gas cupboard, also construct a new battery cupboard to hold bigger batteries and move the fire a little to sit on an airbox, to stop the wind blowing the fire out, that will do for now.

Upgrade stickers to one side of the moho, as they have all cracked on one side.
Upgrade the dash stereo to digital and FM
Looking to replace one of my tired solar panels, to give me a total of 300W.
Possible refurbish cloth trim, seats etc.
Replace the tired looking (rust) twin rear cameras with something more modern and plastic.

this year, next year, sometime, never lol more a project i started in 2018 will ?hopefully finish before we head over i bought a box from robert on here absolutely huge 1800x1500x600 was just going to cut the 300m sump of the bottom but it went so well i cut the whole back off inc 100m of side bent the walls round 25m & pop riveted it together, it’s a good solid job that turned out well just going to vinyl wrap it for now & see how it fits on the back of the van ,

I sat and I thought and I racked my brains and couldn’t come up with anything apart from maybe this air suspension but not sure it would benefit me .

Brilliant, Annie. Someone who is relaxed, comfortable and satisfied with what they have.
Good on yer, lass. Long may you enjoy your Moho.
I don't have any big plans to change things either. Faults will no doubt need attention but my current basic Moho is more than adequate for my needs when out and about.
Bah, humbug.

Yes it ticks all the boxes for me and I’m not one for keeping up with the Joneses ??

You probably spend more time actually out and about enjoying the Moho than most. When would you find time to fit in lots of 'upgrades' even if you could find something that needs fiddling with?
Air suspension?
Nah.
I just love your suspension the way it is, Annie.

Mine is in for LPG conversion at the moment, but due to the heavy rain we've had down this way they are a bit behind, looks like I will be able to pick it up on Sunday...

Hymer MLI 580 available as basic 3500, but with every extra they did on it and I put on it comes out a 3720 empty and plated at 4200kg If I do not get the medical later I will either have to lose all the extras or sell it. I added the weights of the extras and they came out to a lot of the extra weights.
The biggest are the hydraulic legs at 65kg the awning at 40kgs automatic gearbox 48kg hailproof roof 30kg two gas bottles 26 kg, three leisure batteries instead of one,55kg. oven cooker 36 kgs spare wheel 28kgs airbags 14kgs Lshaped seat 10kg tele 5kg and loads of others that make it go right up. even the table weighs about 20kgs drop down bed probably 40+kgs.
I need to get it down to 3000kgs or they will not allow the lowering of the GTW at DVLC. the two people and fuel put it up Water etc ned to be in there below 3500kg Heaviest itemis the towbar at 60kgs but that must stay or I cannot pull the trailer that carries all the weight We need for everything. Bloody regulations, had we followed the EU rules it would not be a commercial vehicle medical needed, up to 4500 gross. UK government did not apply the rules.
