We’re toying with the idea of using a VPN for watching TV abroad, and also the security it would offer when online banking etc.
Does any body use one and are they easy to install and manage please.

I've ran a VPN now for a few years Rog it's called PIA we have it on all our phone and tablets well pleased with it.I carnt remember how easy it was to install it was to long ago but I can do I would think you can lololol

Yes and you can choose which country you want to be in

If I am downloading a film I always use the VPN

We are trying Windrush at the moment, the free version gives you a limited choice of Uk sites and we've been able to get bbc.co.uk instead of bbc.com, I wouldn't trust any free vpn for secure stuff though. I always tether to a uk mobile for online banking.

Yes you just click on what ever country you like and that's it I away got for the one with the fastest speed .

Its a good price if you need it, the french site are offering 3 years + 3 months free for €1.79
