Washer pump fuse???

Hi all, I have 2013 Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet with no screenwasher operational (the blades are working). I have looked for the fuse and can only find the F09 fuse this is named as the headlight washer pump sited under the bonnet, F43 is named as windscreen wiper (+key) sited dashboard RH side. Am I correct in assuming the F09 fuse is the one to check? Thanks in anticipation of a quick response as I have probably answered my own question LOL.

Check the wiring at the pump first. Ducatos of that era had problems with rainwater removal. The scuttle under the bonnet was a very poor design and blocked easily. It could have affected the wiring local to the pump.

Good call Jim, it is better to check the connections first as well, the rain water issue causes a lot of problems

I would first connect 12v direct to the pump to rule out the switch, wiring and fuse.

Thanks, I did that through some wires and cigar lighter this blew the fuse immediately so I direct wired it to stand alone battery this almost melted the wires. this seems to that there is not a fuse for the pump on the Ducato?? Anyhow I bought a new pump from Amazon £13.00 fitted this and all and all is well.

Well done but If there wasn't a fuse it would have melted the wiring in the van, remove the F09 fuse and see if it still works?
It might help someone else with a similar problem

I had a similar problem with my Fiesta there was current but not working. I pulled the pump out and it was a gel in the intake to the pump, I blew it out in reverse and the blob blew out with the air stream , Put the pump back and checked the tank for more gel, I did not know what it was but but it was a light blue and probably a gel of the additives and not the alcohol.
