Waxoil treatment...

I had a car that I had waxoyl from brand new.

It needed welding because the waxoyl did not work,

It had a rust hole through the floor when it was 6 years old.

I have the old rusty waxoyl tin in the garage

Thats because the floor rusted from inside as mats get wet,there would have been no w/oil in there unless you stripped carpets out and did the job yourself,did you ? .

I would have thought, that unless the underside of any vehicle can be totally dried out, treating it will only trap moisture in, speeding up the rusting process.

Correct and thats why i do it myself to make sure its done right,garages dont give a monkeys fart,they want it to rust.

No trev it was bone dry and perfect inside the car, spotless.
It rusted from underneath, below, it was in an overlap of metal.
I treated it with waxoyl every 6 months.
Even the waxoyl can in my garage has gone rusty.

I also sprayed the underneath of a trailer with waxoyl, and that went rusty.

I must have applied several gallons on the car.
