Weather Report..................

It's currently really nice with temperatures heading towards 18 degrees. We might have a shower of rain around lunchtime, but it probably won't last long. ⛅🌦️⛅

It's still a lovely dry day in Warwickshire, with a pleasant westerly breeze. The temperature hit 21 degrees earlier, but although clouds have arrived, its perfect for the short walk to the pub for a meal. ⛅☀️⛅

Can't believe it.

Forecast says no rain.
Quite normal for mid June
Got lightweight shorts, teeshirt and sandals on for an early morning walk, before it gets too hot
Sunglasses, suncream and big hat.
Opened the window..
It's chucking it down . 20 windy degrees.
Very welcome, though.

It's not too shabby for a past country retreat, now NT, and is today mainly an art gallery with lovely (steep) grounds. The gardeners are volunteers, which is why they mostly seemed to enjoy chatting to punters, like us. The famous past owner was Lord Bearsted who founded Shell - pretty impressive for a family that came from London's East End and started out flogging wooden boxes covered in sea shells. 👍
