It's still a lovely dry day in Warwickshire, with a pleasant westerly breeze. The temperature hit 21 degrees earlier, but although clouds have arrived, its perfect for the short walk to the pub for a meal.

After what turned out to be a lovely day yesterday, the clouds have returned, full cover and 12°.

Got lightweight shorts,teeshirt and sandals on for an early morning walk, before it gets too hot
Sunglasses, suncream and big hat.
Opened the window..
It's chucking it down . 20 windy degrees.

Do you have a team of gardeners, your place looks very tidy?

It's not too shabby for a past country retreat, now NT, and is today mainly an art gallery with lovely (steep) grounds. The gardeners are volunteers, which is why they mostly seemed to enjoy chatting to punters, like us. The famous past owner was Lord Bearsted who founded Shell - pretty impressive for a family that came from London's East End and started out flogging wooden boxes covered in sea shells.
