Very misty and damp start but the cloud base is lifting and we have patches of blue sky appearing, time to clean off the van roof and solar panels ready for a Friday departure ........
Another superb day in the borders, dry, bright, a light breeze and 18 degrees.

It was the favourite 'Marilyn' of Sir Edward Grey, previously a Prime Minister and the world's longest serving Foreign Secretary. I haven't been on top for well over 50 years, and it's a privilege to still be fit enough to return. An uncle rests inside the stone wall near the Trig Pillar.
