Minus quite a lot here in Hertfordshire last night.
But...………......…………….…………..now the sun is well above the horizon and the temperature is climbing.
So I'll go for a bike ride.

So I've come inside for 5 mins, way too hot outside, and that's without moving around working.

Been cleaning up pots & plants in my last cold frame, even sitting down to do the work it's sweltering hot.

The (unheated) greenhouse thermometer is reading 98 degrees .... !

Perfect now, no wind at all and 14 degrees in the shade. Progressing well but definitely will need cosseting for a while yet.

Tis a beautiful spring day; bees and butterflies inspecting the flowers, blue tits trying to fill the nesting box with chunks of old clematis heads, crows chasing the buzzards and me enjoying a brew ... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

About 1 o'clock today same two red kites from the other day (I assume) appeared above the garden.
Same azure sky, they were following the thermals, only this time 3 jackdaws giving them what for

WELL is that it folk........the end of the heatwave.......mighty cold out there now........hot watter bokkle up me jumper again tonight.........dont know about red kiteds following thermals.......i will be rooting mine out again tomorrow

YEP...;;tis or was fooggy here........at least the days are getting longer and lighter....another month and clock go forward...........just the lighter days makes the heart feel brighter.
