Sunny start this morning then after dinner sun disappeared and it’s been dull all afternoon but dry totally different from yesterday

The weather forecast doggedly insists that we're getting unbroken drizzle.

The rig looks the business, Ken.
You've only just managed to squeeze it into one parking bay.
We're still told that it's raining.
It's a beautiful , clear starry night, here, and mild .

It's 5°C in Hertfordshire, still and grey.
So today I'm planning to bring the Dawes Galaxy back into service and take it out around the lanes for a bike ride.
That'll make a change - of steed.

Rain at last.!
Started at 5.45.. Drizzle, that increased to light rain over the following 30 minutes.
At 6.45, I judged that the roof would be cleaned off, hopped out of my lovely warm pit and connected up the cisterns, outside... Wearing a hat, pants and a chilly grimace.
Dried off, then slid back into bed...

The rain stopped , 5 minutes later.
Management had been pretending to sleep through all this ....
But ruined it all by giggling.
At 8.30, we were still rain free. The other side of the valley, 1/4 mile away was shrouded in misty cloud.. It was raining to our South East.
It eventually hit us at noon and looks set to rain lightly for the immediate future.
Woo Woo !

Hertfordshire is sitting uncomfortably under a grey sky amid a temperature of about 5°C.
On a positive note, it's dry and the air is still.
The weather is encouraging me to think a of a warm, winter meal for this evening.
Mustn't grumble.

Always the optimist, Bill.
You can always spend the day in Yates's Wine Lodge.. Is it still there ?.
The weather soothsayers decided to change their pack of lies, mid morning, as we were doing coffee in the sunshine..
They now say no rain until late tomorrow.
It's Gipsy market, tomorrow.
Already, ominous dark clouds are drifting in from NE, at low level, East , a bit higher and higher still, Westerly along the coast, 7. Miles to our South.
Better take the laundry in and close the Veluxes.
We're sitting pretty, with 12 weeks of water in the cisterns.
