Weather Report..................

Breezy and showery in Cheshire but not as bad as the forecast so far ! Tomorrow is looking more promising for a dry spell to get some more hedges cut. They say things come in threes, both my Stihl hedgecutters broke down this week before I'd done a fraction of the hedges, then the central heating boiler went awol. Still its kept the delivery guys busy with spare part parcels 😀

Last night's evening meal was whiting and skate wing from the male Thorny Backed Ray that Chris caught:

It was very blustery until about midnight last night with the Moho bouncing around quite a bit. About 5 minutes after coming back in after a very pleasant evening chatting with like minded people the heavens opened and it lashed down until midnight. And then it stopped. Just like that.
We've had showers this morning here in Kent with a gentle breeze. That didn't, of course, stop The Fisherman catching more whiting and an eel. And in the meantime I finished cleaning the cockles and mussels I'd collected yesterday in anticipation of a shellfish meal later today. And all with a wonderful view northwards across the outer Thames estuary .
Life can be very luxurious indeed.

It's been a very pleasant afternoon here on the Kent coast with a couple of showers arriving in order to deliver a lovely rainbow above the shadow of the Mohos:

It was bright enough to reflect in the wet sand:
