Very wet and windy overnight in Cheshire but blue sky and calm at the moment, just about 3 degrees so no shorts today

Plenty of rain fell on Herts overnight - and it was delivered by powerful wind.
Right now the skies have cleared to a most attractive blue and the wind has dropped to a breeze.
The lanes are no doubt full of water that needs cycling through, so once the bread is proving I'll throw a leg over the bike and go investigate.

It's drizzling here.
Because last night's forecast was for a cold , bright breezy day..
So Jenny put a load of bedding and towels on overnight.
Lovely rainbow, though !

This morning Herts was covered in what remained of the mist that hadn't frozen out onto the ground.
Snow has been forecast for today but presumably that won't fall until I set off pedalling.

We had a day, yesterday, when we couldn't keep warm ..
Heating on 24,/24. More expected today.
Stayed in bed til 9.
Put oats on to soak, overnight

Porridge for breakfast outside.. jumper off.
Lovely day.
Oh oh !
The red light is flickering on the smugfilter.
10 minutes later:

It's clouding over.. jumper on.
Should have kept my trap shut.

Power cuts in Altrincham add to the jollity.
My son's house lights are going on and off like an Xmas tree.

Bit like here, the overcast changed to lovely blue skies and I removed the top layer of clothes, then there was a deluge and temperature dropped again.....jumper back on. Blue bits again now but don't trust it!
