Weather Report..................

Not sad though...

We got some rain , eventually.
Not quite enough to wash off the brown Sahara dust, that blew over, earlier, so nothing in the cisterns..
But it's lovely irragation water.
The whole place is refreshed and greening up. You can almost sense the relief in the trees, as they stretch out.
24 hours of that, would be ideal.. about 6mm.
We need another 16mm to bring us up to the annual norm.
" Running out of time ", say our neighbours.
In 20th April 2019, we had a sudden, violent storm ,washing our lane away, and our hangovers from our Golden Wedding bash, the night before. Then 20 minutes of Hailstones, that stripped the fruiting buds off the Almond and Olive trees.
Hope it doesn't repeat itself.

1 degree and sunny skies so looking like another lovely day. Another short trip for the van to have a new wheel fitted as the previous rim was leaking slightly. We may get out for the day if we’re permitted on Friday but there is still some doubt if the levels remain as high as they are in this area. 🥶☀️☀️
 
It's mainly blue above The Garden of England with fluffy white clouds moving slowly across the blueness from the north east.
It's chilly at 5°C but I'm hoping that the sun will improve things in that department.
So more relaxing with like-minded people and a bit of gentle exercise is on the agenda for today.

Bits of drizzle overnight
More later today.
Not enough to clean the roof, so we've 50 litres of toilet flushing water and nothing fresh in the cisterns.
The first Nightingale arrived and is making its presence heard..
Filled us with optimism..
If only they would drop the Nightshift working.

If I'd realised I would have made more of an effort 😄. Anyway it has been another glorious day in Shropshire and the fishing has been good all week. Wheels set to move again tomorrow as we head off to meet up with the grandkids on Anglesey for the weekend. They've been enjoying beach weather all week on the island.
 
We've just come in .
Spent the afternoon with random visitors, having a sweaty time with a house purchase.
One thing lead to another and we found that copious draughts of wine and G&T, eased their pain and grief...
And ours..
An al fresco Corned beef, chilli supper, followed by poached baby pears, in Port and Cinnamon, worked a treat.
We owed, them, big time for kindness done.
The sundown was pink poetry, as the Sun slipped away, the Swallows called it a day, to be replaced by the night shift Bats, as our guest Nightingale tuned up
Can't grumble..
All we want is the 5mm if light rain, due overnight.

Enjoy your trip, so good to hear "the weather team" getting out and about again. Another sunny start in Shropshire, lovely day for a trip over to Anglesey.
