Damp and dismal here today, seemed colder than it was! Looking forward to a bit of sunshine soon!

7 degrees and another solid cloud day, though, for a bit of variety, the temperature may hit 8 degrees at 5pm, and, when it's really dark, and we can't see to check, 9 degrees by 8pm ... This might be global warming from the street lights, though ...

6 degrees and bright sun, but a very keen wind blowing along the length of the Forth. It's glorious in the sheltered lee on the promenade, but turning into the wind on the exposed sections, you soon remember that it's January ... Still winter drawers on and all that ...

Every day is porridge for breakfast day. Topped with walnuts and/or banana slices. We do eat a lot of the stuff, but Elaine's crowning glory was her twin announcement that she had found a Supplier that was almost 50% cheaper than the supermarket for the same brand, AND who would offer free delivery if we spent over £45. Yep, Elaine ordered 30kg of porridge, plus some Muesli and some dried fruit ... The courier still walks with an odd gait ... That volum of porridge takes up a lot of pace in a small flat ...

4 degrees but wind chill off the Forth take it into 'pure Baltic' territory. Grey skies again after yesterday's weekly day of sun ... Solar Panel woke up about 1/2 hour later than yesterday. A wee bit demoralising after yesterday's effort!

Very unusually for this Winter it is stormy today, with heavy showers bust very strong winds, gusts up to 55mph at the moment.

Here in Whitby it’s been a very gusty night van is still rocking this morning fish and chips for lunch.
