A bright 14 degrees for now with just a chance of a shower later. ️️🌦

30 degrees on the sunny to terrace.
23 under the Olive tree.
No rain forecast.
Tractor driver due this afternoon, with 5000 litres of water.
So why was I woken at 0445, by gentle pitter pattering. ?
Staggered out to cover up the outdoor kitchen and connect the overflow to wash the roof off, before collecting rainwater..
The puttering stopped as I got back into bed.
No sign of any rain.

We've already enjoying a cloudless blue skiy, the lightest SE breeze, and 16 degrees. It'll continue this beautiful throughout the whole day until sunset (approx 8.00pm tonight).

Very pleasant so far this morning and should remain so with possibly 18 degrees later. ️️️

Morning sun will give way to cloud [again] by lunchtime. Forecast to stay dry but thickening cloud through the day and maximum temperature of 12 degrees

EDIT: The Forecast was wrong, yet again! 75 minutes after starting the 2nd coat of paint on the new Shed, the sky became black as thunder and the rain started! Fortunately the paint applied had become touch dry, so I think we might be alright ... No coincidence that an Irish Singer/Songwriter should produce 'A Day Without Rain' ... It was 1821 according to the Archives ...

Scortcher !.
The locals have decamped 4 miles up in the hills, to celebrate 1st of May.
There's an oxbow in the river, that they normally dam and use as a swimming pool.
Could be shallow, this year, though.
Family picnics in the shade of the nearby trees, music, dancing and BBQ .
Around the village, there are scarecrows , many taking the P out of local celebs and politicos.
Alas too hot and dry for us to walk.
We'll be in the shade, with a fan and cold drinks.

Just returned from an early morning walk, but the forecast rain didn't materialise.

Instead, we've a pleasant 16 degrees with the north westerlies bringing light cloud, and another forecast for a light shower mid afternoon.

I can hear a lawnmower rattling around somewhere nearby. Spring in a maritime climate is such a lovely time of year.

Basically, a dry cloudy day with a light easterly breeze and 15 deg high.

Allegedly cloudy sun followed by sunny cloud throughout the day, but dry with a high of 9 degrees. But they forecast much the same yesterday and the rain started about 75 minutes after I started painting, and it is looking awfy grey at present ...

Today will be simply beautiful (just like my wife who turns 80 today) with wall to wall blue skies, a moderate easterly breeze, and a pleasant high of 15 degrees.

It had stopped, before I got back into bed.
