Bizarre weather today. Left Preston in bright sun and clear sky but chilly at 8deg. Top of Devils Beef Tub snow and 2 deg. Stopped at daughters in Penicuik for lunch where it was snowing at 3deg. Around Kinross sky cleared and sun at 9 deg. Hail and just above freezing over the Cairn o’Mount then 8 miles later at home clear skies, sun and 10 deg!!

It's dawned a beautiful day with a bright blue sky. There may be some light cloud later, but it'll remain dry with a gentle breeze.

The overnight showers will quicky die away as the moderate breeze swings round from the west, bringing a day of light cloud with a pleasant 18 degrees.
