Quite a bit cooler here this day 13.4c, end of summer already
We loved walking along the alleyways and hidden byways around Giethoorn. It's where I first saw an automatic lawn mower some years ago. We had trouble finding a parkup inside the village, but settled just outside on 'Camping de Stouwe' 200m south that suited us........... Such lovely weather here that we splashed out and rented a silent electric boat for the day to tour the canals in and around Giethoorn and the local nature reserves.
Funny you should say that about the robot mowers. Although we are starting to see them at home now it seems that everybody and their dog has one here - never seen so many trundling about! We loved walking along the alleyways and hidden byways around Giethoorn. This morning was chilly and cloudy with the continuing moderate NE breeze, but it has quickly turned into a fabulous day that will continue on until late evening.
We’ve got a robot mower, simply brilliant. Because it just shaves a little off at a time which then mulches back in the lawn simply improves by the day. May need watering soon though.Funny you should say that about the robot mowers. That is right for the more advanced ones. Our boundry was quickly laid as part of the deal.I thought about getting one Bill a few years back but then you had to lay a cable to mark the boundaries. I understand that they can use GPS these days- is that right?
