Pretty hideous day here. 4 degrees and rain now, getting windy in the morning. Never mind, wonderful Palm Desert and 30 degrees beckons in just over a week.

Sun and patchy clouds is also the pattern in Hertfordshire, though it's only 5°C and breezy.
So there's a couple of wash loads out in the garden drying!

The weather forecast for more drizzle today, has been changed..
It's about as reliable as a Northern Rail timetable.
Clouds, sunny intervals 15 degrees..
Will be having a brandy coffee soon.

There's a fair amount of blue above Herts this morning and the breeze is much gentler than of late.
Not only that but there's no rain forecast!

In spite of no overnight rain forecast :
As we got into bed, the slightest of pitter patter started.
I slept with one ear open, hoping for more.
Woke at 5.30, to the same.
Got up . Nothing, the terrace was dry.
Misty, grey breezy morning. Still no rain forecast.
We're going to a beach party, later..
should I take an umbrella...... Or my Speedos..?

Great company.
Wonderful meal.
Didn't risk the Speedos.... Wrong decision.
Managed a paddle, though.
