I've moved east along the south west peninsula from Newquay to an overnight spot on the south Devon coast:



The journey was dominated by rain, but here in CTL the weather's rather more to my liking.
Could our local correspondent be understating the climatic conditions in CTL with a view to discouraging visitors?

It’s dried up for now, but today was very poor even by local standards with much local flooding and cars badly damaged by driving into drains where the covers had been lifted under the flood water.

A wonder-filled sky above the Moho a minute or so ago.
Mars is just out of shot above the Moho and Venus is to the left:

Lovely morning by the coast, breeze picking up a bit now.
Colin was the only one catching this morning, with a nice little bass for variety

Sunny and 11 degrees with a fresh breeze. Just a few showers expected today. ️🌥🌧

Breezy with the odd sunny interval so far down by the Grand Union, just the slow thud of the canal boat diesels breaking the calm.

The Northerly winds arrived in the wee small hours
Fresh...
18 glorious degrees at 7.30.
Leapt out of bed and managed an easy mile stroll, before breakfast.
Then , unshowered still, I decided to cut back the tree growth, taking over our lane .. The obliging Romanian builder is away for the summer.
His lads usually keep it clear.
Brought back white grapes, black raisin grapes, Passion Fruit and Green Figs.
While I was enjoying a cold shower, My Beloved put a pint barrel glass into the freezer.
While I was toweling down outside, she brought me a brimming pint of Black and Tan.
.. Years of training bearing fruit
All I need now is Test Match Special.

.......and yes, that's Venus towards the top right corner.
Mars is up and to the right of Venus but out of frame. It seems incredible that four missions are now on their way or about to start their journey to Mars.
