Up to 6 degrees and sun breaking through in Cheshire ..........

It's about 5°C in Hertfordshire right now and we're expecting the temperature to progressively climb as the day - and then night - progresses so by tomorrow morning we should be basking in temperatures of 9°C.

The westerlies have brought us rain, but on the bright side tis 9 degrees already.

Very cold, frost even on the van at the top of the hill this morning. Water bowl frozen solid, will wait to look at the thermometer till sun comes out...Then I can kid myself I am in a warmer country!

-6 degrees this morning, but bright and sunny. At least it’s still 6 degrees warmer than Madrid at -12!

The aurora borealis has put on a light show over Scotland.
Did any of our Scottish weather watchers see it?

Didn’t see the aurora last night. Clear and -3 at present with lots of exciting weather promised tomorrow, freezing rain followed possibly by heavy snow before the temperature rises later. 🌧

No pretty lights down here, just clouds and rain, but it's still 9 degrees

-1 degree and freezing rain at present, and much the same expected all day. The heavy snow forecast earlier is not now expected. At least it should be a little milder later. I’ll be glad to follow Boris’s advice and stay inside at home, where I predict temperatures of over 20 degrees and dry. 🌧🌧

Sub zero when I left the house at three am ,-3 at aviemore dropping to -5 at aberlour and further northwards +2 at portsoy just now but roads are very slippy
