Weather Report..................

Dry and bright with a high of 14° in East Sussex.

Light westerly winds will bring rain from late afternoon for the rest of the day.
 
Glorious Autumnal day.
Only 15, at dawn.
25 now, but will drop by dusk.

Had the first of the Pomegranate crop.
Made the salad more interesting
.
A dew arrived overnight and some new birdsong.
Sure sign that Winter is on it's way.

The heavy rain forecast for the afternoon/evening didn't happen, although there was a drop last night.

Today they suggest light winds will bring showers around mid morning, dispersing around lunch time in the Weald.

I'm gambling they are wrong again, roll the tonneau back, and drive the NG out into the lanes to attend to some voluntary work. If they're right, I'll soon dry out. :D
 
We have all the colours at the moment, high white cloud, grey and a more ominous dark grey, in between blue sky. Dry and 9° at the moment, gardening jobs beckon after our trip away last week.
 
Cooler, but still nice .
Hoopoe arrived this morning, calling for a mate.. He's too early and won't stay long.
Great Woodpecker doing the same thing, rattling away in a Cork Oak.
12 degrees min. 24 max.
Had to put the summer duvet on, in the wee small hours..
At least sunbathing is a pleasure instead of an ordeal.
