Minus 4 deg overnight and nice and sunny (but only 2 deg) now. Last Aberdeenshire folk were connected up to power at 1030 last night so I hope they‘ve managed to get themselves warm now.

We've a yellow weather warning for wind and rain, but nothing like the extreme conditions suffered by others. Our thoughts are with them.

Storm Barra is hitting as we speak: very dark, windy and raining here in west Wales.

Yesterday wasn't as bad as the forecast and improved during the afternoon. This morning it is grey and windy, but the rain hasn't arrived yet. Anyone heard from Paul, it's a week since we had an update from Portugal .Hope he is OK.
