we will reach the coast today aiming for mijas just below fuengirola projected temperatures aren’t bad , but i saw before we left that a mini beast from the east was scheduled that is also depressing temperatures in the west of portugal by 5-10 degrees , the reason we are staying in spain for a week or so EBF145B0-28FF-434B-9DCB-F060BED8BBBB.png

A sudden rain storm blew up, as we arrived.
Eased overnight into persistent drizzle.
15 degrees.
Feels like 9 in the NNW buffets.

We'll do a brief town tour after the sumptuous breakfast, provided by our B&B , at the nextdoor bakery. Includes a carry out box of cakes and savouries as we didn't have the capacity to shovel down any more.
Fresh, ripe orange juice, from the local trees.
They know how to live, these Midlanders.
Then scuttle back to The Algarve.
 
After an unexpected drive to the west through thick ice at 05.00am, it has turned into a simply beautiful day, although a little chilly at 3 degrees. ☹️ 🙂 ☀️
 
Phew I'm sweltering this is the hottest I've been since the summers sun is cracking down into the lounge 27.4c in here, 3.4c outside, heating not on either, turned it off about two hours ago,

Tree Creepers are doing their job description.
Reed Warblers are too busy feeding to do theirs.

Management is outside, painting furniture.
I'm not.!
Somebody has to prepare the coffee .
