A bright morning and 16 degrees so far. Looks set for a fine day. ️️

We're in our new abode.
It's drizzling.
No wind
Cloudy.
27 degrees.

Good news:

I don't have to worry about collecting any water for the cisternas.
Shrinking of roof and window seals that happens after a long hot spell, 4½ months, this year.

If there's a sudden, prolonged downpour, there will be drips through the roof and possibly a flood coming up from under the walls.
There's a ruin up hill from us. Nobody unblocks the gully, between.
They'll think it's all part of the adventure.

Our buyers weren't listening to any advice that we tried to offer.
They'll learn !

Just 15 degrees so far, dry and cloudy. Off out in the 2cv to be photographed with a Vulcan bomber, so hopefully the rain should hold off till we’re home this evening.

We've light rain showers forecast for the whole day, although it'll be a mild 19 degrees.

Still managed to clean the van's interior yesterday and will probably manage most of the outside today. Must remember not to fall off the tripod ladder.

Love the moody picture of the Vulcan and the 2CVs.
Over the years of service and the distance covered by the full fleet of each.
How many pence per mile would it be ?
We were terrified, walking the Cleveland way in the 70s , near Filingdales .
6 of the majestic beauties, screamed overhead,knocking us flat, flew out to sea about 5 miles and gave us a magnificent display of slow graceful manoeuvres. We're sure they spent some time inverted !
Unforgettable !

Only popped in for a nosey ........ seems you've done a moonlight flit Paul, hope it all works out for you both
And before anyone shouts, its sunny and breezy on Il de Re, but some mixed weather for Thursday and Friday followed by another settled spell into October. Heading towards Arcachon later in the week so we'll see if the weather gurus are correct.
