We've a lovely summer's day, warm enough to be really pleasant, yet cool enough to manage a decent day's work, both here and at our son's place. Dry, bright, a light westerley breeze, and it's likely to continue onwards.
We've been really lucky with our sosta finds this year. Last night we turned up at what we thought was just a restaurant. Located in the sticks outside Sienna they had turned it into a sort of events venue with a bar and covered eating spaces in a large field with a football pitch and childrens play equipment. Food was takeway and delicious and they delivered to the van. To cap it all at night we had a magical display of fireflies.
We are now at Lucca for three nights where we have hazy sunshine, 26° and a fresh westerly breeze. Back in civilisation I can source a few bits for a temporary fix to isolate the bathroom water supply and get the kitchen tap and loo working again.
Public holiday.
Weather Wizards informed us it was raining.
All we got was broken clouds, sunny intervals and a pleasant 24 degrees. Neighbours were pegging out laundry and a number of duvets to put away for the summer.
We got the drizzle.
. .. About 90 minutes after they told us that the non-existent rain would stop soon.
Calm and hazy cloud cover now
