Would that be the smoke from Touareg campfires drifting across the Med? Or is it just a bit of cirrus? Either way, a nice shot!

Thanks, teejay - it was idyllic. Still air, sound of lapping waves and ~24°C. And surprisingly a horizon that sloped gently up from left to right.
Probably not smoke from Touareg. I'm on an island in the Atlantic just off the coast of southern Morocco!
Anything I ever knew about cloud formation and types is largely forgotten, unfortunately.

Sparkling morning on sunny Walney.

Swop this island for a volcanic rock in the Canaries tomorrow. Lightning forecast for La Palma airport but we are on the opposite side of the island.

It's been sunny and about 28°C today. This evening the sunset wasn't crimson but impressive none-the-less.

Both Roseann and I are convinced we saw the 'Green Fish' whilst having a sundowner in El Cotillo on Fuerteventura.

Don't think it was the gin.:Thinking_Face_Emoji

As has been said, La Palma is a lovely spot. I hope you have a great time there. Do please update us with weather reports as and when you have sufficient energy. At the moment Lanzarote is hot - I'm finding doing relatively little absolutely exhausting!
