What did you do to your van today?

I'm testing the old 300w Bestek inverter to see how it goes charging the scooter battery on the mains charger and two tablets on its USB sockets. I'm not expecting any drama, but it's only ever been used to charge the vans Dyson V6 vacuum cleaner

I've probably about 6 hrs on the corner trims, but the whole motorhome I would guess a full 4 weeks if your counting 8am to 5pm, although its difficult to say as I've been doing days here and days there when I've been able to for past 7 months since purchasing.
I've more or less stripped the whole thing and gone through it, Cab & chassis are spot on, it was the habitation side that was requiring a lot of tlc.
Still a few bits to tidy like restick edges of plastic scuttle and remove/re paint wiper arms, but the list is getting smaller, I'm trying to find direct fit/replacement led body marker lamp units aswell but all ones I've seen are slight different shape.
I got caught up on getting the identical side marker lamp which cost a small fortune as they were not common, i purchased direct from the main supplier and bought more than I need to get the price down.

I've got the Fiamma Ultrabox fitted on my Bike Rack so need to find another way to carry the bike .
Fitted a rail to the Thule Load Carrier and found the bike was around 1/2" too high to go under the box :(
Got a drop plate for the tow bar

This lets me fit the towbar 2.5" lower down and the bike is now a super fit right under the box which lets me have the bike right back

This also frees up the rest of the carrier for other stuff like the Kayak and SUP

In my old van I had carpet tiles on the floor when i bought this one 9 years ago I got carpet plank tiles that fitted perfectly across the width of the van , after 9 years of heavy use they were still in good condition and although jan hoovers them most days it really only picks up the dog hairs , today I did a deep clean I have a industrial aquavac a souvenir from working days so laid out the carpet on the drive vacuumed it then sprayed shampoo left it to soak while I had a cup of tea , I powerwashed it then aquavacced now all laid out to dry in the sun got a couple of gallons of filthy water of them if jan sees that she’ll make me do it again lolIMG_3010.jpegIMG_3011.jpegimage.jpg

Fancy having so much that you cam mislay 4 bottles and not notice.
Still sounds like we'll have to drink them at Hereford. 🍷 🍷 🍷😂😅

Just emptied the van after some days away, and the washing machine is going full blast. Now the bedding to sort, but as its currently 25 degrees it can wait until tomorrow.

At Shibden Hall car park I was less than delighted to find that some toe-rag had scratched the offside rear acrylic window. 😳 That evening at a Hebden Bridge CL I got out the tube of 'Fenwick's Windowize' and after much careful circular polishing the damage is all gone. Thank you Fenwicks!

Happy again. 🙂
