How many different places have you been too? and intend going too.

A lot of you would have traveled the length and breadth of the UK, Ireland and the nearby islands and also Europe and maybe even further

Jeffmossy and myself haven't as yet been hardly anywhere, we have done 2 weeks every year for the past 4 years to France, we don't get to far at weekends because we have to get back for the horrible word WORK

When we retire one of the places we intend to go to is Stoupa in mainland Greece

Done France Spain Portugal Scotland.
Hope to do Italy Greece and Croatia soon.
 
We've only travelled around the uk due to both of us still working but when we retire we intend to upgrade our van and venture into Europe
 
We have done lands end to the orkneys. In Europe we have spent time in France Germany Luxemburg Belgium Holland Spain and Portugal - basically the usual routes..
 
Not as good as yours Linda but this week we went to ullswater ,than to nec caravan and motorhome show,met a few members where we stayed then headed to the cotswolds ,after that tweksburgh,and up to Wigan .after that heading home

We have been up through france, belgium, netherlands, germany, denmark, sweden, norway and back to include luxembourg a couple of times, france and germany a couple of times. A great way to see Europe and you meets all kinds of interesting people other than british people. I only wish I could speak more than one other European language.
 
Farthest was Cyprus - when you could get ferry from Athens. Also lived in France for 9 years and still go back each year. Greece, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Denmark and Norway. And of course England, Wales and Scotland. would like to go back to Norway but don't know if I'll make it.
 
Been to France Belgium Holland covered every inch of Scotland including most of the islands been traveling down to England quite a lot since joining wc somthing that I probably wouldn’t have done but now enjoy England as I never gave it much credit before. We are planning to take 6 weeks of next summer too travel through Europe starting with a ferry to Spain then over to Portugal then just see where the road takes us

Done the uk to death all of the coast lots of the middle bit all the islands except Ireland, Shetland and the Isle of Man, next year I will venture into Europe brexit permitting lol.
 
Been to many foreign spots, Carmarthen, Anglesey, and many parts of the UK yet undiscovered north of the Watford Gap. I had been told that the natives here were sometimes unfriendly and fierce. Although I found, treated with a kind, yet firm hand, they could be managed. It would be prudent not to turn one's back on them. Words like, ay up, d'know should be mastered, as they can come in useful when attempting to communicate.
Next March, as already mentioned on our sister forum, my trip to more civilised parts of the world begin. ..l.
 
We’ve only stayed in the UK with our van. Every time we visit an area we find other things we’d like to explore. More than enough to keep us going for many more years.
 
We had around 1500 nights+ in the old van (2005-2015), and maybe 150 in the weenie so far (2016+). Will do more and have medium and longer term plans :)
Away now actually, just in Poole having done a long bike ride over Purbeck way and over the downs.
This year, 6w up to the Lofoten islands, up Norway and down in Sweden (Watching England beat the Swedes when in Stockholm!) - so that the furthest North. Morocco/Essouara was probably the furthest south and west. And East, probably Budapest so far.
We need to have activities we can do (hence username I guess) - so love bumbling and hitting mountain biking or walking. Can't just sight see all the time....
We also like backpacking and long cycle trips, so cycled to the Med a few times with a little tent, and backpacked SE Asia for months, and hitting Sri Lanka next year.

What is scary, is meeting the same people in random places in different countries without any communication or planning. Its a small small world!
 
Extensively, like many others. But there comes a time when you realise something is daft.

I was planning a trip to see the painted churches of NE Romania and as an aside I thought about cost...... I then realised it would be cheaper to take a short package tour with an operator, leaving me time to drive somewhere else.

I agree 100% we did not enjoy our MoHo tour of Romania and as you suggest it is a long way and so costly on Fuel Camping vignettes etc etc.
Also on a tour all is sorted for you with local transport to the POIs
 
It’s much better when you are retired and you don’t have to get back for work !!
Probably spent around 100 nights in the van in 2018 so far.
Apart from odd weeks away in various bits of England, wewent to Scotland for 3weeks and did the North 500 immediately followed by a 7 week trip to Greece via France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Italy plus Adriatic ferries.
Currently back at home planning Portugal for some winter sunshine and then off to Denmark,Sweden and Norway in late spring.
I do however agree with The previous comments that some places in Eastern Europe are far easier visited on a city break or package tour.

Some people call us crazy or brave - probably the former. We have visited well over 100 countries by road in the last 16 years. There is an interesting club called the Travelers Century Club which lists a well recognised list of 327 countries and separate territories that can be visited so there are plenty more places for us to visit. See here

That’s amazing. I’d never heard about the travellers centuryclub till this week when I met someone who told me about it. He’d been to 123 countries and still collecting, he had also visited 28 US states. I used to travel worldwide for work but have only amassed 53 countries, I have been to 36 US states and still collecting.
