I'm with my granddaughter most of the time, but she still wants her mum when she feels tired.
I've finished cooking and preparing. Just the turkey and veg to cook tommorow. My daughter and I prepared everything else earlier. Would you believe we have 64 pigs in blankets between 4adults and two small children. I sometimes think I could serve those with roasties and forget about the rest.
I heard something on the radio the other day. I think David Walliams was talking about said pigs, and wondering why they are a must have with turkey, when we don't bother about them the rest of the year.

I used to hate that Gordon especially when someone tells a joke and everyone is laughing their heads off and your sitting there thinking that was a load of sh!te!!!

Morning all, It's early. Evil Phil got up for the toilet at 5 and I haven't managed to get back to sleep. I like a 7 rise n shine time, 5 is too early for me. not far from 7 now tho, I gave up on the laying there trying to get back to sleep. Hows everyone today? I will respect Hippy and ask how peoples "yesterday" was in the chat room thread.

I’m having a lie in today 2 days of cooking and organising, Boxing Day is my day of rest if anyone is hungry today it’s leftover turkey ? and salad ? it’s what I call a help yourself day or starve ?

Same for me usually but I've been busy today getting Birdie ready for the new year meet, so didn't even get my fix of bubble and squeak. Van still needs a wash though, despite the rain but I'm not sure I can do it tbh. Might be able to scam a willing helper tomorrow though. I've got about 18 assorted nieces, nephews, partners and 'greats' coming for the day tomorrow, plus my son and his family. More time with my little Panda, yay! She hates me mind you! I don't take it personally because she's like that with most people. We play lots and have a giggle, so she gets the dimples out for me... but if I try to touch her, she's off screaming for Mum or Dad! She'll let me put her in her high chair and feed her though or give her a bottle between whinges - never lets anything get in the way of food... her favourite thing in the world. Babies never like me much but I'm sure we'll be great friends and get up to lots mischief together when she's a bit older.

She doesn't hate you, I think it's a way of exercising power. Although my gd is older, 2 1/2, she still refuses kisses and cuddles, she folds her arms and says no, in a "don't mess with me" voice. However she only has to see her brother coming for a cuddle and she's here as though the hounds of hell are behind her. Works a treat every time, grandma still has the edge.:Smiling_Emoji_with_

I wouldn't worry about the van. By the time you get to the meet it will be filthy again.

It was a bit like my g/daughter she wouldn't come near when she was littler now I can't move for her she was always clinging to mam because she was always with her 24/7 now she never gives her mam a second thought,when she leaves her,she will come round Jennie it just takes a little time. They must be all the same Sue as she was the same unless someone else wanted a cuddle!!
