Morning campers I’m awake thanks to Charlie and Karen honking their horn at 3.30am for fun. It’s very windy and wet here at Portishead but a great location

Hi all

I've got quite a lot of family in Portishead (Martin's side) and often wished there was was somewhere to stay in the van. I'll try to remember to ask you about it next time I see you. I've often thought about moving to one of the many new places they've built along the water there... I'd love to live by water. They never build anything with parking for a motorhome these days.though, do they... I love having Birdie just outside my door.

Gorgeous day here but we've been warned to batten down the hatches over the next few days, which means I won't be tackling the shed roof any time time soon. The roll of felt arrived and I could be in trouble... can't even lift the thing! Might do the rolling out and cutting in my hallway, which is like a train carriage. I normally hate the hall and dream up lots of plans to knock bits down and make it more friendly but it was the best fun for throwing toys for the dogs and looks like it will come in handy for my new roofing career too

Never heard it called that before, is it a northern expression.... :Tongue_Out_Emoji_wi

Morning all,
Just back from aborted fishing trip to Bristol channel. Strange noises from engine so rather be at home sussing it out than in the wilds of N Somerset.
We are being blessed with sleet and hail at the moment.

yes first week. I normally do big numbers the first week, I expect it to slow down a lot now.

Cold at Devizes but the sun is trying to shine just having my first coffee of the day going to Stonehenge later for the night hopefully the roads near home will be clear because according to Bill my other half they were dridlocked yesterday and more snow is forecast

Afternoon all well been out for a nice walk with whirlwind in the snow earlier and it was lovely then we decided to make a snowman and then she wanted to have a snowball fight loved it haha the kid in me came out lol (again)!! Malcolm stopped me doing a snow angel though ?

Tell the lovely Malcolm he's a spoilsport, especially on your birthday! :) Glad you're having fun though.

I've had a lazy day to be honest. It started with a very long skype chat with my daughter in Aus and then I got stuck into a book... and the remains of the Quality Street  I can ditch the boot when I'm out and about from tomorrow, so the plan is to get out there and get my lazy bod moving properly again. Oh I did have a dance round the living room to all my ipod faves this afternoon.

Talking of Quality Street, what's everyone's favourite... and the one that takes pride of place in the foreground on every tub? The purple one of course. So how come there were only 3 in the whole tin... 3! More than a dozen of the bloomin strawberry creams that I don't like, 10 of the flat penny toffees that pull out your fillings and heaps of the others too but just 3 of the best ones  I tell you, the confectionary world is going to hell in a handcart! I need to start a petition and get questions asked in the house. 100,000 signatures should be a breeze don't you think?
I wonder, if I write to Nestle do you think they'll send me back a box of just purple ones? :Smiling_Devil_Emoji

Umm, no need to mention this over there <<< - they're all discussing diets :Flushed_Face_Emoji:

Thought it was the turbo, but when I had a look the noise seems to be coming from the power steering pump. Going in for service next week, so he'll have a look.

Morning quite cold here at the Stones let’s hope it warms up as the sun comes up.

For now, food replacement packs until my blood sugars level out. Then after low carb similar to keto or Atkins.
