Hi everyone.
Got away at about 6 pm. Last again, Billy no mates !! Had a lovely last day, burned shoulders down at the beach this morning ?. Almost had a swim, but not quite. ?
Thanks to Rog and Phil for all their hard work sorting stuff out. Had a fab chilled time despite the couple of days of rather damp weather ( how can you tell we are tough north easterners. Lol )
Cheers to all of you for helping get my van up on its ramps and also erecting the pop-up awning ?.
And yes Rog.... I’m nursing my poorly, worked to the bone, fingers. Glad to get home for a rest. ??
Also... it was lovely to meet more of you this time, Chris and I were just saying... what a canny bunch x
Ta from meself and Mr Mon ( Chris) xx

We are just home about an hour ago. Stopped to do a bit of shopping and it would have been against the law not to have fish n chips.
It’s true that the weather wasn’t kind to us but there were still many smiling faces which carried the spirit on to the very end. As you can see from the photo, we were rewarded by brilliant sunshine on Monday evening and had a fabulously enjoyable farewell party.
Thanks to everyone for keeping me smiling and it was nice to meet old and new faces alike.
I hope all the ‘first timers’ don’t think I had anything to do with the weather and will come along again soon and try again!
Best regards to all,
Rog.

Thanks to Roger and Phil for their hard work. Despite the weather Sophie and I had a lovely time. Buster had a great time as the wet towels all around prove. Thanks also for the delicious pies.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes and greetings. Loved the drink on Monday. At a pop up site in Whitby at present debating home or into town. Yes and it's raining again

This was the wettest meet I have ever been to, but because of the company and the location, it was so enjoyable. I gave up walking in the park and headed instead for the beach, and had many paddles in the sea, whilst Foxy kept running off with seaweed and ripping it to bits. Many thanks to Tezza 33 for fixing my tomtom, I've really missed it nagging at me! Also a big thankyou to Rog and Phil for their work in making this meet happen. I also had one of those Scottish pies from Jimmy and it was delicious, thanks Jimmy.

Sue & I got back from our 1st rally via Mid Wales stopover in Newtown on Monday night.
Thanks to Rog and Phil for organisation and huge THANKS to all who helped me get the van out of the mud; Roy and Pauline were the stars and also Eric and others ( names not known). So grateful for the help!
Hope to meet more of you at Orkney next June ??

Just to say that, despite everyone feeling sorry for me in my 'umble little abode, I had a jolly pleasant time & am also grateful for Phil & Rog & others who put in a shift to make this happen. Just a pity that August has been such a lousy month for weather in the last few years but my temp accommodation stood up to it without a problem. ? ? ? ? ?
Marie enjoyed the clips I made of various members wishing her all the best - here's hoping' we'll both be on the road to see you lot in the not too distant.
Cheers all. ?

Great to see you Neil, well done for surviving the weather!
Send big hugs to Marie, and tell her we are all waiting to see her again, as soon as she is able..... it’s the LAW!

Such a shame that the weather couldn’t have been a bit better for your first meet Graham and Sue, but look on the bright side.... any future meets you attend can ONLY be better! ?
Glad you got home safe and sound. R.

Hi all who endured the wildest wettest and dirtiest weekend on wecord. Thank you so much to all who planned ,organised, set up and cordially corralled us to a most beautiful corner of our world, wrapped in wonderfully wonky woods and wavy whimsical walks.........the special delivery from furver up norf was enjoyed by all, thanks Gordon. Sorry we didn't get to chat more, everything was blurry through the streaking cats and dogs over some of the time....didn't stop us trying our hand at flattie bashing in the driving rain, drove the bloody flatties away too! Cycled all the way to the friendliest port called Amble through a large flood, sacrilegiously enjoyed fish and chips thinking of the most witty rev rog ......not even realising we had a fantastic impromptu last night bash to enjoy. Good luck to all you lovely people and even gooder luck to those that need it most! Love from hamishymer's crew and all who sail in her. Got home last night around closing time(11 ish in old money, unless you knew where to order that is!),?‍?‍?‍??‍?‍?‍??gonna sort me tyres out now, thanks rog and tez . Chris, Fran says don't forget the Devils Claw lotion from Holland and Barret, buy one get one half price, pretty dear me dear and put it in the fridge for extra powers. Hi all,
Not home yet, called at Whitby on Monday and saw the regatta fireworks then enjoyed an amble around town on Tuesday in glorious sunshine, even managed to dry my shoes out on the dashboard. Spent a night at the sea life centre and am now in horses, and......guess what.......it's raining, though nothing like the deluge we endured at Druridge :giggle:
A few thankyous to, Rog and Phil for arranging the meet and thoughtfully putting out the hose for fresh water, to Jimbo for the scrummy pies, to Trixie and Mandy for the awning, at least we had somewhere to have a natter, and finally to everyone who turned up, withstood the weather and ensured we had a good meet. Thankyou all.

Always great to see you two, glad you had a good time! Seeya soon.

Thanks to Rog for organising this meet and being so welcoming.
Even though we had a few days of wet weather I still fell in love with the area. Fabulous walks for the dog around the lake and on the beach.

Thanks for a great meet. Sorry if we seemed a bit anti social when we decamped to the car park but I hate mud!! Had a lovely time even though the weather was against us. Thanks again to all organisers and helpers.

I started of going to the meet and ended up with ANOTHER 1600 miles on the van. Not worth much the way the miles always increase at that rate.
It was going alright until the right wiper arm came loose on the motorway in Fife.. I could not do it tight enough with an open ender so had to buy a socket set to keep in the van in Dundee. So keeping more tools all the time the weight goes up. I also had the bike in the back but it stayed there for all the week just acting as ballast.
