What did you do to your van today?

Removed the Cleo tip up basin and used some white 2 pack repair stuff to fill cracks in basin. Cracks repaired ok but I still want a replacement as the plastic has yellowed in places and of course the repair is whiter than white so it stands out a mile. Its usable but ugly.
I still cannot find a replacement basin without buying the surround too. Someone or some dealer must surely have a basin at a sensible price, but I cannot find them
K :(

Sand it smooth with wet and dry, finish with 1200 grade, spray it with White Deco Color Epoxy
Keramix Appliance White. Several coats, you'll be surprised. I've done this for a couple of people
I know. I've even used a cheap white gloss enamel aerosol in Spain with good results.
Doesn't take long for a new Cleo to yellow, a poor quality product, flimsy too boot.

I awoke then had some breakfast ,had a shave ,done dishes
Got dressed and went for a cuppa at the cafe ??

Loaded it with everything we will need for our trip to Skye and Hebrides! Ample supply of alcohol for the three of us for next 12 days,
Later will take it to fill up my gas and fuel tanks.
Been before but this have my sister in law with us, she has never been on a ferry and on this trip she will be on four of them !
Looking forward to it.

Filled up with diesel (Tesco 10p/litre off voucher!), topped up fresh water tank, put onto EHU and switched fridge on ready for the off.

Tried to replace the waste tank tap, but new one totally different size, so messed about with the original one, (had a little drip on the connection), cut pipe back refitted tap, now seems to be OK, but have to wait and see once there is water in it..

Changed the stop valve on the end of the FW tank breather pipe which I kept forgetting to open which meant the filler pipe just spurted water back out at me!
I have fitted a fine stainless steel filter which allows the tank/pipe to breath, stops creepy crawlies from entering the tank and saves me getting wet. Its kind of fit and forget.
K ;)

Replaced the broken plastic drawer catch retainer in the sink unit.

I fettled a couple of stronger retainers from a galvanised fence arris rail using the warranty plastic replacement as a pattern.

So that's the broken one replaced and a spare for the future.

Put the bed back together...had to collect 8x4 sheets of OSB board so took centre section of bed out. Quite good as it also made it very easy to clean garage floor and sort out the resident crate of "useful, necessary" bits. So pleased Dave and the converter came up with the bed design.

Fitting new pioneer radio come DVD player come hands free come sd card reader and it sound quite nice. Mind I did have to ring Geeky Phil a couple of times to make sure I got the wiring in properly......it hasn’t blown up yet!!!!!????48657

My hook up didn't seem to be working so I took the corroded mains hookup plug off and ordered a new one .

Put the final curtain pole up then filled the water tank & discovered a leak! Swore a bit then finally my buddy & i managed to get it sealed. Slight leak on tap to sort tomorrow.

Strip off off side cv joint to replace broken abs ring, ordered wrong ring so just replacing the cv joint and roll bar link pin and bushes, will fit new abs ring to old cv joint and keep as spare.

Got a mate of mine to weld this bracket up for me so my bike wasn’t touching the back of my van. And before anybody says anything regarding towing with it,it is only there for my bike rack and not for towing???48688

Waiting for a new driver's door mirror due to a foreign tourist in a motorhome wanting the use of the full road and not just the half they should of occupied outside Fort William on Sunday, a bit of a lucky escape as he could of wiped out the driver's side front completely but accidents do happen.

Tip - always carry a roll of gaffa tape
