Sitting out in the cloudy terrace.
Suddenly we had big, ploppy raindrops
By the time we'd stowed all the sun furniture.. It had stopped.
Has this anything to do with us booking an outdoor meal at the local Taberna, followed by a night at the outdoors cinema.
I dunno !
The Weather Witches say it's raining now, has been since 7am and will continue, gently until the weekend. Just the Ideal weather that we really need.
It's a cloudy, mild, 20 degrees.
The coast looks manky
So... Why am I sat on the terrace, in me pants, scoffing a bacon,egg and HP sauce butty.
It's a good day to put some clothes on and go shopping.
The umbrella will be with us.
We arrived at Cheddar C&CC site yesterday under a glorious blue sky.
So I went for a walk across the top of the Mendips and down the escarpment to Draycott. The return walk involved walking up New Road, a 20% incline hill which went straight up the escarpment for far longer than a cyclist would want!
The local 'stiles' built from local stone are very different from the wooden variety found in Hertfordshire:
Today the weather is similarly wonderful, so it's out and about in Somerset for us.
Rained all the way back.
Exactly 5 months since the last rain.
Enough to clean the roof off.
Went out to connect the cisterns up, in light drizzle.
It poured again,
Back indoors, as I was changing into dry clothes....
The sun came out.
Drizzle now.
The Olive farmers will be happy.
Our pomegranate tree has suffered, lots of unripe, small fruit have fallen off.
