Type2 diabetes

Liz found them in Holland and Barratts, quite crap tbh, very watery, as is the rice.
What I cannot work out is porridge oats.

All over the web it says they're good for you. They aren't ultra high processed, lots of fibre, said to lower cholesterol- yet they are on the red list.🤔

This morning I had overnight Oats with a scoop of cream and a handful of Blueberries. There is a recipe below but as yet I haven't used all the extra seeds and I won't be using Honey/Syrup, but in future I will use Greek Yoghurt instead of Cream;

Am I right in thinking Honey is OK, much better for you than sugar?
I'm not diabetic by the way.

No. Unfortunately not.

Any form of carbohydrate is converted into super in your body.

For diabetics, the only difference is that some carbohydrates are harder or slower to convert into sugar.

Honey is not at all harder or easier, so it is not better for diabetics.

There are some benefits from consuming honey instead of sugar (particularly if you are a honeybee) but for diabetics, both are firmly on the Red list.

For non-diabetics, the benefits of honey are normally marginal not least because what you buy in the supermarket is nothing like honey.

I know how you feel Pudsey, as I felt when waiting for wotnot - up- the - bum test results.
that's intertesting about fake honey. What it means is we have to go to a farm shop and buy the expensive fancy local stuff in jars with pretty paper over the lids. Or agonise over whether our home made blackberry or raspberry jam is less bad . . . seems anything you enjoy is either expensive or fattening . .Better get off to the swimming pool . . . .

If it has sugar in it, then it's not good for type 2 diabetics period, the type 2 body has no use for sugar.

I go to the last of the meetings on Thursday, then they will arrange a blood test for us all, inc the Keto one, that should be interesting to see, I'll just look up my last one and post it.

Not inmy test results for some reason

The green list prefers we drink full fat milk, I asked about it in relation to heart health (I have 4 stents) at the last meeting on Thursday, ( I have them recorded if anyone would like them) and he seemed to think it was a problem, my brain won't let me recall why right now, but I came across this yesterday.

I didn't bother recording the first meeting, as we had no idea if it was any good or not. They are M4A files; Windows Media Player plays them fine.

Second meeting
