I agree David, I'd say he possibly bought a cheap system (no offense intended Sonar) the one's I looked at for my 2.8Jtd were over £300 plus fitting at Conrad Anderson 10 years ago.This really does not sound correct. The CC should disengage when you brake and then you would use the 'Resume' for it to turn back on and speed to climb again. And if you don't use the 'Resume', or set a CC speed, the CC stays disenaged.
