Chat Room

Off to the father-in-laws today to try and sort out his motorhome.

He let a friend borrow it and it`s come back with no habitation electrics or gas working, gawd only know what they`ve done to it.

Passenger side wing mirror cracked as is the rear off side corner on the skirt.

It`s also that low on fuel the light is on ( it was full when they took it ) and absolutely filthy as if they`ve been off-roading in it.

I`ve suggested maybe he thinks twice before lending it to anyone else.

Morning Chris. Been in and out all Xmas grandson duties today as his sister is in hospital today for blood cell check and more tests poor wee thing
How is your mother ?[/QUOTE]

Morning Gordon,
Mum's getting back to her old self - grumpy! She's had enough and keeps saying she just wants to go to sleep and not wake up; she can manage about the house now, so we're going for a ride to the coast later today.

We’ve been there and done as well with my m/i/l she just kept saying to me she was so tired! It must be an age thing the grumpiness,or maybe not!!

My sister is looking after Mum for a while to give Dawn a break, so thought we'd pop over to Teignmouth for a stroll and a brekky; before 9 am and had a job to find a parking space
Had a good brekky and a stroll round the 'What we didn't know we needed' shop, now back home with a coffee (y)

Is this thread now at an end? After a great Christmas with family and friends it all gone quiet at my house

Wishing everyone a very

Morning all,
Having brekky in Cromer, then off to drown a few lugworms :)
Glad your not having lugworms for bekkie....ugh.

Do you fish from the beach or the pier there? Either way, if the weather's the same as ours, you've not picked a bad morning.

Had a great meal in a Norfolk village pub and spent Sat night in their car park. Drove down here to Appledore yesterday and the bin boys have just given us a wake up call:).
Where to go today

Do you fit in 1 bay or do you use one of the bays in the back corner ( near the playground ) where you can overhang into the void ?

The parking warden kindly told us about them so i only needed to buy 1 ticket :)

Unlike other places where they`d have said nowt and just slapped on a ticket

Last night I parked alongside the water next to the bus turning area, with the front end out of the bay. I've spoken to most of the 'wardens' and they are a friendly helpful bunch. Parking alongside the estuary next to the path you can overhang the bay without causing a problem and the wardens accept this.
There were six vans here last night, 3 left before the warden arrived! At £5 a night with toilets, pubs and chippies nearby it is a good overnighter. The old pub (can't remember the name) near the lifeboat station has just re-opened and a local dog walker that we see quite often said it was really good, so worth a look on our next visit.
Just had brekky at Bideford Morrisons, cos we had run out of bread ;)

Evening all the wind is blowing a gale here near Durham tonight and it’s a tad chilly with it!!

Back at base camp :(
A bit of info for anyone heading to St Just - the rugby club no longer welcomes campers, thanks to the local council.
We were going to stay on the headland but it was chewed up and we couldn't find anywhere we fancied.
