A maddening of motorhomers. A bit of alliteration too ?

Thanks, Billieblue. I've been to meets/gatherings/rallies where that would be MOST appropriate! Including alliteration works well.

Ah. A rhumba of rattlesnakes! Thanks, teejay.
An aspiring attempt at alliteration perhaps?

Is that onomatopoeic teejay? GCE was an awful long time ago! Or does the whole word need to be in on the onomatopoeia?

Colin ???

Not in the true sense of the word which as you know in the case of the snake would generally be accepted as a 'hiss.' Whereas alliteration could be 'hissing sid'

A gathering of Hymer owners... a Hymerroid

Would a gathering of your marque be 'men' a man thing or maybe a crowd?

It could be a Manitu...(a man or two)

I suppose they should really call them a MAM now-that would be a whole new kettle of sharks!!!

Thanks teejay. I thought that with alliteration the first letters of a sequence of words need to sound the same but not necessarily be the same. So 'cuddly Colin' is alliteration whereas 'chasing Colin' is not. Or am I, once again, confused?
This takes me back to school - I love to learn and straighten out my misconceptions so thanks for your help.

A hymerroid of Hymer owners. That should stir up the hornets nest! Thanks, Asterix

Surely you don't mean 'A hymen of Hymer owners', teejay? Methinks I'm being left behind here.

'A dampness of Swift owners!'
I really laughed at that, Asterix! I can't wait for Charlie to join in on that one.
