BACK TO THIS LOVELY VENUE!

10 min walk to the beach. Dog walking field adjacent. 5 mins walk to the village of Burton Bradstock where there are two award-winning pubs. The Jurassic Coast bus X52/53 stops in the village. The Hive Beach has a cafe.

There is a campsite next door which should be reasonably quiet as it is not school holidays, not intrusive at all 2022 & 2023

10am Friday Welcome for newbies, open to old and new members to make new people feel welcome! Outside our van bring your own coffee/tea I will supply cake/biscuits!

Facilities:
Usual facilities of elsan, rubbish (general waste in a bag and strict recycling - no bag) and water. Self-contained vans only.

Pitch fees:

Fees: £12 per night, usual format correct money in an envelope with your forum name, no of nights and reg no.


Meet limited to 80 vans after which we will start a reserve list. It's very fluid at the moment I will keep the list open.

Gas BBQs only off the ground. No fires nor fire pits

Dear Moonshadow, unfortunately we won't be able to make the Burton Bradstock meet due to a family illness. Apologies for cancelling and hope we will be able to make the Rye meet as planned.
 
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully all will resolve itself and yo can make it to Rye for a rest! Thanks for leting us know

BE WARNED if you are planning to stock up at Morrisons on your way in - it is now EURO PARKS you must park within a bay. OK for little ones but not us! See pic there is a car park at Bridport Football ground for oversize vehicles just 5 min walk from Morrisons IMG_3532.png
 
Directions for rally:

Come down the slope as per usual, do not turn hard right onto the gravel at the bottom but turn right staying on the concrete road. Once in the yard turn right again and then left at the end of the building and into the field

I’m sure someone will get it wrong😹

For 1st timers, we're lost at "come down the slope as per usual"!

What are the ground conditions like? Guess this is parking in a field, but is it a well draining field or a mud bath?

So sorry, but I need to cancel Burton Bradstock, Strawberry Fields and Rye rallies. I have to start emergency dental treatment tomorrow before further cancer treatment begins next week. I was hoping to get a week in the away before it all began but that is not to be. I do hope to catch up with you all, later in the year.

I think it’s this field but I could be wrong and maybe this way in and it can’t be tight as they get farm machinery into the field

Hi Sue. I have to go to the dentist at noon on Thursday so will be pretty late to this meet. Will that be ok?
Can’t cancel the dentist… my bridge has fallen out again 🙄

Hi Sue, I’m gutted to say I can’t make this meet. My brother finally has a date for a long awaited operation, so he can’t look after our Mum as planned.
And unfortunately depending on his recovery, it might affect Strawberry fields and Rye but I will let you know nearer the time. I hope you all have a great weekend.
