The last time I was at the tills the girl asked if would I like a bag, no I replied I'm already married, went down like a lead balloon.

When did they stop asking if you wanted cash back at the tills, I rarely used it anyway but I don't recall when it stopped.

Our Aldi has a massive shelf the length of the store for packing bags so we just put stuff in the trolley, as for till staff, tey sjould have pade mor attenshun in skool.

I think all Aldi's have those shelves and I used to toe the line and put my stuff in the trolley and then pack on the shelf. If I did that in Abergavenny I'd be laughed out of the shop. We all jam it in the bags as fast as possible at the till.
Mind you, I did get a bit cross during lockdown when they had the huge screens up and one day the guy on the till piled it so high (the other side of the screen) that I had to ease items out from the bottom of the stack to put in the trolley. It took me even longer so he never did it again.
