I’m looking to see if there’s any interest in a coach trip to the Ring of Brodgar to watch the sunrise on the summer solstice. It’s an unforgettable experience at a truly magical site!

Date: Summer Solstice (21st June 2025)

• Time: Coach would need to leave in the early hours (likely around 3:00am) to arrive in time for the sunrise, which is at approximately 3:42am.
• Location: The Ring of Brodgar, Orkney

We met up with pat and Lori yesterday at Kingussie. Today we have just arrived at Helmsdale, lovely view overlooking the sea, but it has gone quite cool with rain, ah well at least the chippy and pub is open later

Took us 9 days to get to sinclair castle wick ,,had good weather, few bits of rain ,and 24° best temperature,
It's freezing today and full rain, time to sit it out and chill.

chippy was ok when we were there not as outstanding as originally and to eat in is now a fiver a head dearer than takeaway we each had one large fish supper ie 2 mini fishes and lots of chips between two £15.95

Two small (but not!) fish and chips in Lesmahagow £16.50. From Pepe's near the car park we slept in. Excellent. Had a flashing oil warning light yesterday and feared the worst It responded to a reset with pedals and ignition so we are still on the way! Look forward to seeing you.

Went into the van this morning to put last minute things into it met with water coming through the skylight on the roof soaking the roof and carpet and one of my bench seats can't get it looked at till Friday so it looks like orkney is out for me I have sent a message to Phil telling him
This was the second blocker for the trip Ava one of my dogs took unwell yesterday ( £120 lighter )
Third one a bit of my garden floods and I have a pump which I use to pump it out packed in hopefully that's 3 things that's happened and something good will happen next
