Having a bad day culminating with locking keys in Rapido 9090DF.......any helpful suggestions would be appreciated

Where's the spare set not being smart
is the window at the front drop glass or slide type

Get a key cut don't bother with having it chipped to keep price down it'll still manually open doors and tie it underneath some where for next time

Might work, the key is actually locked in the garage and spare set of van keys in the van

Hi Sue,

Can you look for a local mobile car locksmith? Some like this one can cut keys from the chassis number and most can open doors without causing any damage. Like someone pointed out the AA or RAC may help if you have the "at home" service, I know they opened my Mom's car once.

Regards,
Del

Have you sorted it? Our Comanche locked itself with both sets of keys in the van. Nightmare! We ended up having to smash the quarter light window on drivers side.
Needless to say we now have a spare somewhere very safe and accessible!

As said above there are some companies that will cut a key from the VIN. They contact the manufacturer and get the key number.

The local dealer might help with the vin number? Depends how old the van is. Feel for you.

The VIN number is usually visable through the windscreen

Regards,
Del
