Is that a good or bad valuation?£340 for my home build including breakdown and home if required, valued at £12 grand r off value all with AIB.
Its the "market value" thats always tough with self builds - but hope we have enough evidence with ours should the time be there. Ripe were good for us, quote/cover wise, and their hassle free self build rules (if mv on v5 is fine) was easy. (If not mc on v5 just needed to meet some obvious criteria, but also, weirdly, needed gas done by a pro which you don't need if a mc....
Genuine discount codes available too - ran quote with/without code links. Also went via topcashback so 10% tcb and managed 25% discount code through some dodgy site. Does mean renewal will be 35% more though I guess!

Who are ripeThis year's renewal with AIB had increased by £40 to £285. So I went with Ripe at £224 and should get 10% cashback taking it to under £202 which is the cheapest in the last 6 years.

Underwritten by ERS. I read all the small print and was happy enough.
You can easily get a 15% off code, but you can get 20% via topcashback + 10% cashback (maybe) - but you don't have TCB use https://www.topcashback.co.uk/share/yourithelp/ripe-insurance-for-motorhomes/ and you will get 20% discount anyway and I may get the 10%
I did get TCB + discount when I took it out. Discount is "genuine" compared to a normal quote (I ran various tests before going) - so not like some others who offer club discount but for some reason "its already included" and I've never seen a discount off the bottom line.
For me, insured a self build, hassle free, for the value I wanted, no tracker requirement, an all the options, and no weirdness in the small print.
(just a customer, never claimed!)
